Nickerson Ledge: One step over blow down almost to Carter Ledge Trail
Piper: Lost the trail in a boggy area, yards from the parking lot on the way up. One step over blow down near the bottom, looks like it has been there a while. |

Saw a few, one was quite aggressive even though his people assured me he was a "nice dog". Unfortunately he was off leash.
Lots of rock slab to climb, but otherwise a nice hike for Fido. |

My first time on this very popular trail. Very impressive amount of trail work has been done on this route, and some of the sandy sections could use quite a bit more. The blazes on the summit slabs are getting quite faded. Route finding can be a challenge above tree line. |
