Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No issues.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: No issues, although the upper re-route intersection on Gale River could use more brushing. I could see missing it and staying on the old trail in poor visibility or if you were really not paying attention. The old trail really stands out past the small branches used to block it. There is a sign but it is sort of perpendicular to the trail. The lower is blocked by large birch logs.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Tucker had a great time playing with the three other pups we saw.

Comments
Comments: Breezy and cool day on the ridge. Garfield was socked in, but got some peak-a-boo views at the hut and "the rock" after Gale River intersection.
Some of the slabs skirting Pam peak were covered in ice that looked like water and were quite slick. One took some time to navigate as there was no way around it. Road walk is really not bad at all. 1.5 miles maybe? Quite a few out today, including a couple doing a 3-4 day Pemi Loop.
