Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: When we pulled into the Rocky Branch lot on Rt. 16, there was a sign reading that the lot was closed today (no reason stated on the sign). We parked along the highway and when we climbed up over the bank to the lot, a ranger was there, and told us that they were planning on removing a glider that had crashed on the mountain a while back. They needed the space for helicopter landings and staging. However, it was quite breezy today up high, so I don't know if they accomplished their mission.
