Saw a Buccaneers cap near the top of Osceola |

The trail started off fine, and as expected there was frozen stuff above 3000ish feet. The rocks had ice and there were some tricky parts where ice covered the entire width of the trail. I was tempted to break out my yak trax but did not. Would have helped but only slipped a few times. Cold weather is here, layers count. View on Osceola was nice. If you are looking for USGS discs, there is one near the ledge, by the coninuation of the trail.
The chimney was fun going down the side trail on way to East peak, coming back the chimney was not tricky due to its dryness. Viewless as it was, was nice to get this peak. Cool viewing spot 50yd or so north of the east peak.
My buddy (BishopX) found some trash. Picked it up. Please help police those less comsiderate hikers where you can! They stand out! |
