Comments
Comments: Used Skookumchuck Trail to avoid the crowds on the way to Mt Lafayette. Many other hikers on Franconia Ridge and on Greenleaf Trail down to the hut (open today). Only saw two other hikers on the Greenleaf Trail below the hut. Great views from Vt (Green Mtns) in the west to Me (Pleasant Mtn)in the east.
The Greenleaf trailhead is on the entrance ramp to the Parkway. To get to the Franconia Notch Recreation Path (Bike Path) head to the Parkway underpass which leads to Tramway parking. There is a sign for the Bike Path.
