Comments
Comments: Decided to go up Mt Madison via the Daniel Webster Scout trail since I had not hiked this approach recently. The sections of the Daniel Webster Scout trail above the tree line requires vigilance in locating cairns and blazes to stay on the path (this would be especially true in poor visibility). Lots of blueberries to consume in the scrub zone just below the alpine zone. A group hiked up Pine Link with the US flag. Unfortunately a hiker was injured on a fall at the summit. The AMC hut leader administered first aid and escort the hiker down to the hut. Great views from Mt Madison.
