So out of all the bad reviews for this bushwhack, I did not find it that bad what so ever. We went in about 100 feet or so after the big rock on the left. Then we walked over a birch tree that had a little cairn. We went in and just went up, we had a few tracks with us but we made our own path in the beginning. We found an old drainage or just a dry one that we went up for quite a while. We did not get caught in too much thick stuff. Found a herd path and smooth sailing from there. up to the talus field which i expected so much longer but it was only about 1 minute going up. then into the woods back to the herd path. Now talk about steep, that was some steep stuff right there. We made it around blowdowns and straight to the cannister. 9 Of us was a great day! On the way down lost the herd path once or twice to jump back on it. Then I just started straight down since we would end on the path anyways. Therefore we made it back down to the trail in just a little thicker stuff but nothing crazy intense. It was smooth sailing out and we were done! that was 97/100 for nehh for myself and one other. While others were on different numbers- It was a success!!! |
