| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Nearly completely full at Glen Ellis Falls day-use area. I managed to squeeze into the last space, but not without getting around a black Dodge Ram parked in two spaces by its douchebag driver. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Right off the bat, I had to ford the Ellis River. I'd recommend bringing boat shoes or sandals if you approach Wildcat this way. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
I wouldn't recommend bringing dogs on WRT from Glen Ellis Falls due to the steepness. |

They were there, but not biting. |

| Comments: |
I wanted to day hike closer to home, so I decided to tackle the Wildcat Ridge Trail from Glen Ellis Falls. I was expecting a very tough climb from all the descriptions I read, but aside from a couple spots, it wasn't that bad. Then again, what I consider difficult is very different from what many other people consider difficult. Great hike nonetheless, and I got to see the views I missed when I finished the 48 here last year! Lost Pond and Glen Ellis Falls were great, too!
Oh yea, the Ellis River makes a great spot to take a dip after a hike like this. |
