 | Trails: |

 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Chose a Mount Cabot as I knew some more popular peaks would be overcrowded (Appalachia had cars on roadside 1/2-mile in either direction). Great parking, nicely marked...don't forget gate closes at 4PM |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Significant |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
End of summer water levels with lots of rocks to hop across. No problems in crossings |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail crews were out on Bunnell Notch and making great improvements. Can't thank them enough. Unknown Pond trail upper part was heavily overgrown with brush followed by heavily mudded area. Some maintenance on drainage needed or some bog bridges. |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Lots of well behaved canines along the trail |
 | Bugs: |
What bugs? No bugs at all, I did not apply any bug spray. Only bugs seen were bees buzzing on trailside flowers |
 | Lost and Found: |
Nothing found |

 | Comments: |
Bunnell Notch trail was in great shape with all the great work by the trail crews. Amazing contrast on the descent down the Unknown Pond trail: heavily overgrown brush, standing water creating small bogs out of the trail. |
