Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All easy to step or hop over
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Could use some brushing down low. The blazes are very irregular both in height on trees, and their location. Not a problem now but could be in winter. One small blowdown.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This would be a great dog trail. Easy on paws, and plenty of water until the last steepish pitch and the Mt. Tom Spur
Bugs
Bugs: A few gnats on return but not an issue.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Sunglasses hanging on a tree.

Comments
Comments: This was a fantastic way to access Mt. Tom! Bit longer due to Zealand Tr.( nice warmup and cool down). A-Z Trail is easy on the feet and gradual up to the last pitch. Great stonework and bog bridges. The woods are lovely and you see some angles of sites you don't normally see. Trail was dry at this time but have read it can be very wet which the evidence showed. Great day out with Karen.
