Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Despite yesterdays rain the Ellis River was easy to cross today.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There were no blowdowns but the section of trail between D Peak and A Peak is becoming brushy in spots.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Bring pleny of water as it is sparce along the ridge. Had a good day of training with the "heel" command. Met one other dog, Raoul, today.
Bugs: None biting but there were clusters of knats flying around. If one was not paying attention they might suck them in while breathing heavy.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a penny at the summit of A Peak.
Comments: Great day for a hike. I started later than I wanted to but still made it back just after the first few rumbles of thunder. The humidity made the rocks damp and some slippery. A rough hike with lots of ups and downs. Saw several people on the trail and many more at the top of the chairlift.
