Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: A bit high for mid-August averages but none that were difficult. Had I been wearing trail shoes up, the crossing at Gem Pool and the crossing up above the gorge would have got my feet wet. A couple or puddles on the Gulfside and the lower Lake at the hut was a bit high.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails are in good shape
Dog-Related Notes

Comments
Comments: Trails damp but not extraordinarily slippery. Shortly above Gem pool, most of the day was socked in. By the time I was down you could see LOC Hut and Monroe's summit but Washington remained shrouded. Forty-four degrees at the summit of Washington abound noon with light wind.

Wasn't a great day to be up high, however, given that the day I was on the Bonds, it cleared up, I was okay trading that day for yesterday. Besides the usual busy day on the summit the 10th Mountain Division had a ceremony going on also.
