Finally got to the Bonds via a 2 night backpacking trip. We spent the first night near Guyot. Went up West Bond and Bond the next day and decided to save Bondcliff for another trip. We camped near Zeacliff the second night and had breakfast with the sunrise. The third day we had a nice easy walk out, stopping at the hut for cake and cookies. The Bonds were extraordinary. And i forgot how much I like Guyot--such beautiful views of the Bondcliff trail winding up to Guyot's summit. Lots of AT thru hikers out. And Zealand was a zoo on Saturday. I saw 2 babies, 2 toddlers and about a dozen blind hikers with guides describing where they should step. |
