If hiking is our religion then Sat is our favorite holy day of obligation, but nature's leaky roof kept us away and we hated it. Today felt great! Seeing mostly clear skies on the approach but with Ts forecast later, we changed plans to do this quick hike to catch one and not the other. Not very many people on the trail, and most were hut hikers who were drenched yesterday. A bit humid and 76F on top, but a nice if occasional breeze too. Not too hazy either - nice views. Clouds were building midday and I saw showers over N. Tecumseh on the drive home, so I'm guessing the late ascenders might have gotten wet. |
