Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: lot full at the end of Haystack Rd. when I got there so parked along the edge, no issue.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: easily rock hoppable, the third (1st heading down) water crossing made a good foot soak. These trails could use more water if you ask Kali.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: North Twin trail is eroded, had a good blowdown I almost plowed into and was very slippery (North facing and all). It had a good washout about .2 miles up from the third crossing, needs some trail love.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Kali finished a Grid on Bondcliffs with me on this hike! She has successfully stood on every peak in every month of the calendar year! We chose to go it alone early and add lots of miles to her finish. No fan fare, just me and my girl. No pictures either as Strava ate my phone up. No regrets either. It was real dry heading out and back to the Bonds, Good to see Al and meet Michelle, thank you again for your trail magic, Kali appreciated it. Technically Gryffin summited Hale with us so he got to partake in some of Kali's day. Great day for dogs out but bring water! We dropped into Guyot Tent Site to refill, always a fun haul back out!
Bugs
Bugs: nope
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: red Carhartt hat on North Twin Trail probably .5 above the last water crossing. No thank you very much.

Comments
Comments: Gorgeous day to put on some miles and smiles. Great to see Tim, Gryffin, Mark and Tyler out on the FW Trail. Even better to share a beer in the parking lot after the hike! Thank you!
I decided to go grab Kali's last peaks and to do it with style. We made a big loop from the end of Haystack Rd. Third time doing this hike in summer for Kali and I. I was amazed that we didn't see more people.
Great day out, bug hugs and kisses to Kali, I could never have asked for a better trail partner!
