Comments
Comments: Excellent, chilly day on the ridge! Glad I brought my mittens - I almost put them on! Summit very crowded but terrific views. Late morning, on the descent, I was thinking of heading over to Big Bickford because I like it over there, but, ongoing threatening thunder made me think I might get rained on. Then, well down into the trees, a huge thunderclap near Big Bickford sounded like gunshot - SO FREAKING CLOSE!!! Did not see any lightning, but, the thunder was enough to make me scurry.
