Comments
Comments: Caps Ridge Trail was snow covered, top to bottom. About 2" of snow up to the alpine zone sign, then 2-20" from there to the summit. Trail more difficult to follow right now due to rime on cairns and blazes covered. Talus fields very dangerous due to unconsolidated snow in holes. I used Microspikes top to bottom (crampons stayed in pack, would have been of no use) - the scrambles on the trail were tricky due to some black ice and snow. Winter conditions.
