| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A bunch of flagging on upper Bunnell Notch, looks like this trail is going to get some TLC soon. One step over on Kilkenny Ridge, and a few stepovers on the Cabot Spring Spur... which for the most part, is very brushed in. |

Got this one in before the heavy rains came! Sunny and HOT going up Bunnell Notch Trail, but clouds soon took over, and we hiked to the summit under them. Cabot Spring Spur is marked with a cairn, but has no signage. That and it is extremely grown in, and the "spring" was a puddle of water, not something you could really filter out of. Better off using the rain water at the cabin. We booked it down as fast as we could, but still got caught in some rainy bits about a mile or so from the car. Congrats to Anya on #33!
On the way out on York Pond Road, we stumbled across a Quebecois couple who were looking for a ride out to 110. We ended up giving them a ride all the way to the Ammonoosuc Ravine trailhead. Consider it our good deed for the day! |
