Trails: Lincoln Woods Trail, Bondcliff Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Saturday, July 25, 2015
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Surprised to see so many parties setting out when we hiked into the tentsite at 9:30 PM. Lincoln Woods lot was not crowded when we left this morning at 9:30 AM due to the wet weather.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All crossings on Bondcliff Trail were quite manageable. My crew had camped at Franconia East Tentsite Friday night, and the crossing of the East Branch with a dog in my arms and a pack on my back was pretty interesting. I can't say I recommend that for everyone.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All in all the trail was in good shape with no formidable blow-downs. Just some step-overs and duck-unders.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Oscar had one mishap just below treeline on a steep, nearly vertical scramble. My buddy climbed up ahead of him and he eagerly tried to follow. Let's just say he didn't choose the best route up. But the soggy conditions allowed Oscar plenty of drinking opportunities well past the last sure water 3.7 mi into Bondcliff trail.
Bugs
Bugs: Only noticeable on the summit.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: N/A

Comments
Comments: Summit was in and out of the clouds with views north and east more or less totally obscured. Views south and west were plenty good. Not bad considering we thought we might get turned around by rain.
