An old stepover and a recent duck under on Liberty below Jim Liberty Cabin. Great shape otherwise. |

Finished off the Chocorua region of the White Mountain Guide, with this classic loop. Saw no one on my ascent of Brook, and didn't see anyone at all until just below the summit. Summit featured many groups spread about the ledges... in addition to the fantastic views and light winds. Settled in just below the summit, watching people ascend and descend the summit ledges on Piper Trail. Descended to an empty Jim Liberty Cabin, checked it out, and continued down to the car. A crowded summit makes the quiet entrance and exit worth it. Another region down, getting closer! |
