Polecat Trail might have been a bit of a bad choice, dogs got pretty heated with no shade on the way up. Cooled right down on the Wildcat Ridge trail though. Surprisingly, lots of brooks for dogs to drink from on the way up Polecat. |

Lots of ticks, lots of black flies. Nothing lots of deet and frontline for the dogs couldn't fix. |

Great hike up and down Polecat. Views of Washington and the Presi's were great. Great alternative to slogging up and down the Wildcat Ridge Trail. |
