Dog-Related Notes: good water down low. Would not recommend Flume Slide for most dogs.

Bugs: Some black flies, gnats and deer flies around but ok when moving

Comments: Wanted to try the slide. Lots of fun. Great approach trail. Slide has a couple of slabby parts but there are herd paths around almost the whole slide if you so choose. Rest of hike was usual NH rock and root. Nice way to do the loop. Slide would not be as fun if wet and could be real slick.
