Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of parking at WMNF parking lot.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Crossings done on Ammo Ravine all relatively easy.  
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Blowdown on lower Ammo Ravine not far from the Gem Pool needs to be removed. Hard to climb over or under. The whole trail needs to be reblazed.  
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Steep trail for some dogs but the ones I saw were happy. plenty of water.  
Bugs
Bugs: Strong winds at the summit kept them away. A few in the woods but not too bad if you kept moving.

Comments: Awesome day to hike up the Ravine and to the hut. Views from Monroe were spectacular.
