| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Huntington Ravine Trail needs a haircut in spots, especially as it parallels to the right of the Fan on the way up to the bottom of the first scramble. Very scratchy but easily followed. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Very few dogs can handle the type of boulders and steep slab from the floor of Huntington Ravine to the top of it. The bigger the dog the more difficult it will be. |

Perfect day above treeline, the summit was a zoo because of the road race but it was fun to see the excitement at the finish line. Always grateful to hike up Huntington Ravine, one of my favorite trails to get to. Happy that Whitney finally got to hike it and a joy to see her motor up the scrambles and enjoy the steep fun of the slab, ledges, and chimney. Didn't see many flowers out on the Alpine Garden, some white and yellow ones. Checked out the site where the refuge shelter once stood on the Camel Trail and followed the old Crawford Path back from there to the Davis Path, it's very faint but can still be followed 100 years after it was relocated! |
