Dog-Related Notes: One 50 lbs 1.5yo lab was fine on the trail between Flume and Liberty. One 90 lbs 2yo lab struggled up a slanted slab that humans would have to crawl over.

Bugs: Surprisingly not bad, except a few black flies at Flume.

Comments
Comments: Saw some young guys starting near the beginning of Liberty Springs around 2PM. One of them was wearing Sperry boat shoes and skinny jeans. Given the muddy conditions, I don't think he got very far.

Hikers at the summit told me that ascending Flume Slide Trail was not a smart move, and they regretted choosing that route.
