| Comments: |
Saw no other hikers on The Direttissima, Glen Boulder, Nelson Crag, and Old Jackson Road trails. On all other trails saw many hikers. Met Hikerguy at the summit of Mt Washington.
Be aware that the Nelson Crag trail is not as refined a trail as Tuckerman Ravine or Lion Head but it allows for quieter hiking except for the motorcycle noises on the auto road. Rock hopping and ledges above treeline and ledges and rough rocks in the woods.
There was a stick planted on the top of Glen Boulder.
Saw many wildflowers today. Alpine Azalea, Mountain Avens, Diapensia, and Lapland Rosebay in the alpine zone. Labrador Tea, Rhodora, Shadbush, Painted Trillium, and Lady's Slipper in the woods. |
