Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: bridged down low, brook crossing just before alpine zone easy crossing on rocks though rocks just beyond heading up the steep pitch were a bit wet and muddy.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: two step overs - first about 1/3 mile past 3rd brook crossing the second about 1/3 mile up the trail. Somme blowdowns along the sides of the trail occasionally have limbs encroaching.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Many out today enjoying the trails all very friendly.
Bugs
Bugs: NOTE: There is still the wasp nest in the summit cairn on Eisenhower. No stings but they were being pretty aggressive. Bugs out down low so bug spray a must. A couple of black flies found a gap in my bug spray in the Franklin Eisenhower col. light winds kept the bugs at bay on the summit except the aforementioned wasps.

Comments
Comments: Always a nice hike. Sunny skies provided great views and light breeze helped keep things cool. Usual mud in spots but nothing to slow you down. Rocks were wet and muddy at times but footing was fine. Steep pitch right above water crossing up high was a bit wet and muddy but just watch your footing and it's fine. Usual water running on trail for a short stretch above this. Trails nice and dry once we broke into the alpine zone. Many people out enjoying this and other trails in the pressies today.
