|Lost and Found:
||After hiking Garfield, Layfayette and Lincoln I returned to Gale river road via a bushwhack over Big Bickford and Scarface. The woods are very open over both peaks. The PVC register is gone on Big Bickford (as bryan already reported this past winter). |
There are some difficult clear cut areas when you head east off of scarface. Nothing too bad though. I had planned to hit forest road 92A, however, I thought I passed it (an over-grown road covered in thorn bushes) and began heading east until I hit the Garfield trail. It turns out, I likely did not descend enough before I began slabing east. Still not a bad route.
