Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: two blow downs on HBT, one high and one low, 6-8" diameter. Easy enough to step over. Trail work going on low on LAHT (Thank you!) Usual wet mucky areas on Twinway. Zealand Spur much easier to find this time compared to March when it was buried in snow.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Kali really enjoyed all the water along the trail, she got right into the muck around the Zealand Bridges.
Bugs
Bugs: none an issue, cooler with wind, I hiked in the mostly cloudy part of the day as well

Comments
Comments: Great jaunt to these two peaks. It felt good to be back on familiar trails. I tested out the new running pack. Ran most of the way out from Zealand. Tons of cars and people and kids and dogs. I gotta go back to night hiking. National Trails day in full effect, could see recent work on HBT and met people on LAHT. Great day out with my Kali girl, 22 to go.
