 | Water Crossing Notes: |
All water crossings on Bondcliff Trail are most likely rock hoppable with care (water was flowing a bit higher then normal today). I say most likely cause I slipped on the first one and got both feet wet so I walked through the rest of them. It was the end of the day, it felt good. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
All trails in great shape! Few blowdowns on GRT easy to negotiate. A couple down low on Bondcliff Trail as well. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw a couple happy dogs. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Not til the end of the day when it finally warmed up, and they were bad. I ran down from Bondcliff so they didn't bother me too much. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
Someone left their soiled underpants on the trail on the way up Bondcliff. Gross. |

 | Comments: |
Very cold start to the day. Winds on the ridge higher then forecast and Lafayette was covered in glaze ice and rime. Clouds finally broke at Galehead Hut. Sun came out, life was good. Saw a handful of people throughout the day, all were enjoying the peace and quiet that the trails offered today. Had every summit to myself except for Bondclifff. Great day for a Pemi Loop. |
