| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
No problem in today's cold raw weather. Was only car at 8:45, when I got back at 3:15, there was just one other Subaru in the lot. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
largest two crossings on the way back from South Slide did get my feet wet in my trail shoes. The one closest to Livermore was just over ankle deep. Considering all the rain, not really that bad. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Many blowdowns on Scaur, especially the upper 1/3 and along Pine Bend and along the Ridge. Two Rangers were going to be cleaning up Pine Bend, met them near the summit or North Tri and they had summited first and were going to clear on the way down. Told them about Scaur so that may be cleaned up too. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Some steep terrain, I was solo today but many years ago I did the same trip in the opposite direction with a friend and his large dog and he had to help his dog down a few spots. |
| Bugs: |
None, too cold, too wet. 36 degrees to start and 43 at the end. |

| Comments: |
Livermore, Scaur, Pine Bend, Mt. Tripyramid (South Slide), Livermore
Very few trail markers on this loop but it's pretty obvious. Not sure if the rangers were going to clear the upper 1/3 of the Scaur which had the majority of the blow downs on the Scaur trail including a crawl under. Although no views, it was a very peaceful quiet day. NH Solo peaks #45 & #46, only Zealand & Moriah remain on the solo list.
