| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails were mostly in excellent condition. We stepped across a small patch of snow heading up the back end of Adams--maybe three feet deep. It was still very solid. THERE IS NO SIGN AT THE TOP OF VALLEY WAY INDICATED THE TRAIL DOWN. Note, also, Madison Spring Hut was open, but the bathrooms were not, and they are re-varnishing the entire building, so one really cannot spend any time inside. We did manage to refill water at the one working sink. There were still a few spots of monorail ice at the top of Valley Way. We were able to bare boot, but slowly and with caution. |
