Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Three or four crossings, insignificant.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: About a mile in to the Daniel Doan trail the blowdowns start showing up. Clark Pond Loop has many large blowdowns. One large blowdown by the AT junction where you take a left, which we missed and had to backtrack. Lots of erosion upper Daniel Doan and the walk arounds are on unstable ground (rotting vegetation under the earth). The rest of the AT could use some picking up but otherwise fine.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: none
Bugs
Bugs: Not a lot of bugs considering it's May and it wasn't windy. Didn't wear repellent.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: one shoe.

Comments
Comments: Nice hike and a new adventure. Daniel Doan trail starts out on an old road and never gets really steep. Slippery rock was quite manageable. Still it felt good to get on the drier, cared for AT!
