Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: LOTS of water and swamp/bog crossings. The muddy areas had decent rocks to hop; the bigger water crossings were easy
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Moriah Brook Trail above the gorge was in poor/awful shape, probably b/c it's in a wilderness area. Many blow-downs - lots are HUGE. Many bog bridges were mostly rotted - lots of people seem to be walking way around these and other muddy areas, which is creating a lot of erosion. Markings are obscure in places.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Every person I saw had at least 1 dog today!!!!
Bugs
Bugs: No Bugs! YAY!

Comments
Comments: Lower sections of Moriah Brook were beautiful - LOTS of swimming holes - sadly I didn't have time for a dip!!!! Upper sections - I got off trail in a few spots as the water crossings confused me (I'm easily confused :)). Did not enjoy the mud in the upper portions. Sank a boot completely. Good views - great hike!!!
