I hiked to the summit of south twin with only boots. My feet were soaked after an hour. I wish I had brought my snow shoes and gators!Gail river trail is mostly dry until you get close to Garfield ridge then the snow starts. On garfield it gets 3 feet in places. Can be done with no snow shoes if only going to the hut. The twinway has monorail most of the way. Very slow going with no traction or snow shoes. |
