4 blowdowns on Valley Way - 3 minor and one big (must be fairly new). All are easily passable. |

1/2 a mile of snow-covered trail is tricky. Cinnilla handled it well but did not like it.
Plenty of water in the stream near Madison Hut. |

Found: 2 gloves - one halfway up Valley Way and the other near the Gulfside-Airline Jct. |

Left snowshoes in the car and it was a good decision.
Snow coverage intermittent from a few hundred yards before the tent-site on Valley Way and up to the hut. It is a tedious section with unstable mono-rail. I barebooted up and used micropspikes on the way down.
Some muddy sections and some water on the trail - but all minor stuff. |
