Saw 2 happy dogs today |
|
| Bugs: |
We started early enough, at 6:30, so they were a none issue then. As the day went on, we saw a lot of flies, (horse fly type) but they did not bother us. Getting down in elevation though, we noticed some black flies, but we had on long sleeves & long pants as well as bug spray, so we were OK. |

Nothing lost, nothing found. |

| Comments: |
The trail is in good condition. Encountered patches of snow as we ascended, above 3000 feet, but easily bypassed. The ledges were snow/ice free & dry. Once we headed on the Rollins Trail to go to the cairn of Whiteface, we hit much more monorail. Some parts of it would hold your weight, but then you would posthole here & there as well. That part was slow going. We contemplated doing a loop with Passaconaway, but figured if the Rollins Trail continued to be monorail covered, it would take us forever, so we went back down Blueberry Ledge. |
