Comments
Comments: Bottom 2/3 of the trail was without snow and mostly dry. Only a few muddy wet areas. After the second water crossing snow begins at 3000 foot elevation. In the beginning we could walk next to the monorail. But not too far up we put on our snowshoes which I wondered why I had them in the beginning. The monorail was soft and snow was 1 to 2 feet deep until almost the summit which became bare again. We only saw 1 person on the trail today. Trillium and Hobblebush are beginning to blow on the bottom of the trail.
