Water Crossing Notes: JEWELL BRIDGE IS OUT and the ammo was crazy fast and deep. There is a bypass to the Cog and a bridge on the far side of the cog but it is posted no trespassing with yellow chain. We went over anyway. Spur is located on top of the first grassy hill about 150 yards up. Currently flagged with pink tape (not mine).

Comments
Comments: Beautiful day in the presis. Not many people on the trail. The snow is melting fast-- only a few patches n the ridge and about 1 mile or less in the trees. We barebooted up in the am and used snowshoes on the way down and smoothed out a heavily post-holed trail. By next weekend my guess is that there will be a lot less snow so snowshoes may not be needed. We appreciated them for the short time we used them.
