| Comments: |
Pretty easy going up to about 3,000'. Summer like conditions. The last 1/8 mile or so to Glenn Boulder was snowy/icy and I used microspikes. Approach to Glenn Boulder and climb immediately following boulder was clear of snow. At about 4,200' the trail entered krummholz and became much more difficult to follow. Snowshoes highly recommended here, and navigation skills. Deep snow (~2') and lots of postholing. Basically bushwhacking to Slide Peak. I turned back because the sole decided to come off my boot ;-) |
