Dog-Related Notes: We met Shiya today who seemed to be thoroughly enjoying herself. Lots of sips and dips down low, and lots of cool snow to roll in up high.

Comments
Comments: A bit of everything conditions-wise today. Dry trail to start, a mix of mud and a little snow on the road and first stretch in the woods, then patchy snow and monorail, then a fairly solid monorail up high. Barebooted halfway to the notch, then snowshoes up and back to the same spot. Very soft mushy snow down low with narrow and unstable monorail and copious snowshoe post-holing. Above Bunnell Rock was a fairy solid monorail which snowshoes were excellent on. No sign of traffic towards The Bulge and The Horn or South on the ridge trail. Overall a nice but not exactly easy hike. Thanks for coming along John, and it was good to meet Cory, Shiya, and Georg.
