a few cars. Saw a friend pull in on their way in to do Whiteface and East Sleeper. But saw nobody rest of the day on the trail |

went upstream a bit to find a safe cross on the Tom Wiggins. On the way down Dicey's a large tree across on trail made an easy cross |

No snow down low, colder temps meant no mud and some icing on the way in on Diecy's. Took Tom Wiggin after Dicey's and had to go upstream to find safe water crossing. Steep sections of Wiggin were manageable. Blueberry Ledge had some icy sections but again manageable. Hard monorail on upper sections. Actually bare booted for awhile. A few inches of new snow covered the postholes so watch out. Used light traction Rollins to Dicey's to Passaconway and down Dicey's until snow disappeared. Water on trail on Dicey's on way out. Nice day overall. Carried snowshoes and never had to use them. |
