Comments
Comments: Blueberry Ledge Trail, starts off quite dry, then patches of snow, but still quite firm. Higher up where it starts to get steep, some patches of ice mixed with spring snow. Traction is nice in these spots. Once at the ledges, first ledge is dry until making the left up to the next one and then lots of spring snow, you can boot pack up these sections to get a better footing. It's slippery regardless of traction (mashed potato snow) WF Summit was beautiful with dry lookout rock. Rollins Trail over to Passaconaway was a mess. Postholes everywhere, minimal monorail to stay on. Snow was just to soft. Snowshoers were even falling in pretty deep. After the junction of Dicey's Mill, trail to the summit was a nice monorail packed well, minimal postholes and coming down was slick. Dicey's Mill Trail was in good condition as well, nice monorail to follow with minimal postholes, mashed potato snow. Monorail ends about 2.5 miles out from the road becomes dry trail with minor mud. Overall, a wonderful spring day with many different type of conditions out there. Everyday is changing drastically for trail conditions.
