| Comments: |
Micros perfect for 19MB, nicest packed sidewalk I've seen in a while - bit softer in the afternoon but as long as you stayed on the straight and narrow you won't posthole. Used snowshoes for the entire ridge trail - televators helpful but I also feel they gave better stabilization on the side sloped areas and avoided some slipping. Ridge trail between the peaks was much less consolidated - some areas with good crust from Friday's mixed precip, areas that were in the sun had softer and more easily navigable snow. Saw a few people on the ridge with other forms of traction and they left a few monster postholes. What a difference a day makes - sunny and about 20 degrees warmer than yesterday - great day out with Hannah! |
