Comments
Comments: The trail was in good shape with pack consolidated snow. I did the entire thing with micro spikes and had snowshoes for backup but never needed them. The snow was several feet deep though and if you go off the packed trail you could post hole up to the waste. If it warmed up enough for the top surface to be unstable snowshoe would be needed. It actually snowed lightly today and was in the 30s. Generally moderate grades with a steady climb in the last half mile before the cole. The spur trail over to Tom is easy.
