Comments
Comments: Pleasant overcast day. Sun peeked out only a little. It was snowing lightly all the way down. We used traction up to the summit and snowshoes on the Sosman Trail spur to the top of the ski trail. We didn't want to posthole over there, as the little-used trail was not packed as hard as the Mt Tecumseh Trail was. (We hiked the whole Sosman Trail in case we want to redline some day, [yeah right])Other than that the trail was hardpacked and we didn't posthole unless we strayed off the wide monorail. On the descent Lone Wolf used showshoes the whole way, mostly for traction purposes. I used snowshoes for a while but found the bindings bothering my feet, so I switched back to Microspikes and did fine in those. A great day on the trail, we didn't see another human soul all day. Thanks to Lone Wolf for a great day.
