Comments
Comments: The trail has moderate grades the whole way to the summit somewhat steep above the bald mt trail but not to bad. Mostly steady climbing after the first 1 mile or so with a few flat breaks here and there. Not a lot of view till the ridge trail is reached. Mostly wooded.

There was deep snow still above the bald mt trail. little to no snow for the first half mile. The snow was compacted and relatively stable especially below bald mt. If it cools off and refreezes light traction would be fine. At the end of the warm day post holing was a mild-moderate problem but I did the whole thing micro spikes. Snow snows would have been nice above the bald mt cut off particularly on the way down. Saturday later on it should refreeze. Tomorrow early it could be soft and snow shoes would help. The ridge trail still has several feet of snow in most section. Occasional post hole to the knee or even hip but mostly stable. View were amazing. I was the only one on the kinsman trail today.
