Comments
Comments: Lower section of Pine Bend Brook Trail was packed down like a sidewalk, microspikes to the steeps then snowshoes. Trail less packed between middle and south. The top of south slide and Kate Sleeper Slide has a few inches of fluffy snow on top of hard packed snow, butt slid and down climbed as we picked up speed extremely fast. We lost the Kate Sleeper Trail a little bit to the left between the slide and West Sleeper but the woods are really open so it was a nice little off trail detour. Trail is now well packed between West Sleeper all the way to the Rollins Trail on Mount Whiteface and then over to Passaconaway. Dicey's Mill, Walden, Square Ledge, P-Cutoff, and Oliverian Brook are all well packed down now. Great traverse with a group of eight and a dog on a perfect bluebird day!
