Dog-Related Notes: Kibo had a great time as always. She found it necessary to stay on the trail or she would sink just as readily as any two-legged hiker.

Comments
Comments: We elected to don snowshoes at the beginning of Engine Hill BW and kept them on to the summit and back to the car. Saw others barebooting.
The trail is plenty solid above and below, but expect to punch through occasionally on the BW if you forego the shoes.

Be advised there are multiple tracked out routes out there during and after the BW. Some of them go nowhere... others may be crazy circuitous. Depending on your choices, you just may have to explore a few to discern the way ahead. Not a problem.
