Comments
Comments: Zealand Road was plenty packed as usual...but Hale Brook Trail was a different story. Someone had shoed in relatively recently, but I was pretty much breaking trail the entire way, and it was slow going. The one part of the trail (about halfway up) where you walk along the edge of the ravine was pretty dicey...I had to hold on a trees to keep from sliding down the hill. So much snow on the summit that the huge cairn only sticks up about two feet! Used snowshoes pretty much car to car, although Zealand didn't require them.
